can that kill u? i heard mercury can be very toxic.

It is extremely toxic. If this has happened to you I would call poison control right away, prefereably get to a hospital.

Yes u may die of mercury poisoning. U may need to get your stomach pumped. They may have you drink charcoal also, to absorb it.

Mercury thermometers have been banned from medical use for a while. If you have one I would get rid of it.
It can kill you, or make you very sick. Sometimes it takes prolonged ingestion of mercury for it to actually kill you. It is toxic, but most times, it makes you VERY sick but you don’t necessarily die.

I think it can kill you, yes, if you swallow a significant amount, and that’s why they stopped making them. That must be an antique thermometer…

yes of course it can mercury posioning, and it’s very acidic so it will burn all the way down too.

If you swallow it, epsecially dimethyl mercury, you are likely a dead man. No joke.
