lbp How to ~ (low space) Combination lock

This was created, specifically, for thermometer space conservation. For that reason, I made it as simple as possible which results in a rougher transition for each number (or symbol) which is used.

Okay, so this is a gas guzzling 4 door sedan dinosaur but it’s mine and I like it. I am the second owner of this car and it is in totally original unrestored condition. Let me tell you about this boat. It has the reputable 460 cu. in. engine with 70000 miles and the curb weight is about 4500 lbs. The ride of this Town Car is magnificent! It has the smoothest ride I have ever experienced in a luxury car and I have ridden or have driven Cadillacs, Mercedes, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, etc., and this car absolutely floats. AND quiet! I have mistakenly tried to restart the car without looking at an idiot light thinking that the engine had died, and no, it was still running, I just couldn’t hear it. This Lincoln does not have all of the options available but does have an automatic tranny, power steering, seats, windows, antenna, door locks, trunk release, A/C, climate control thermometer, Cartier clock – still works, map light, wire wheel covers, fender skirts, double pinstripe, vinyl padded roof, and dual remote mirrors. The only item not factory is the AM/FM tape player of which I have yet to install my factory unit. The interior is flawless finished in a mustard color velour and vinyl. The carpeting is in finished in a “shag” type of pile which was popular in the seventies both in cars and in homes. The trunk is huge and the original spare is present. Question by beener_816: An outdoor thermometer that reads 41-degrees F is placed in a heated room which is at a constant 72-degrees F?
After three minutes, the thermometer reads 46-degrees F. What will the thermometer read after 20 minutes?

      Best answer:

      Answer by Jenner Grace
72 degrees. it’s an implied ratio. In 3 minutes, the thermometer changes 5 degrees. In 20 minutes, the thermometer can change 33 and one third degrees. 33 + 41 = 74 but since the thermometer, if accurate, will stop at 72, that’s your answer.

          Caribbean Seahorse Tank- Video 2

The tank is a standard 20 gallon with a four bulb T5 Nova Extreme fixture by Current USA. This is a high flow system with mostly Caribbean corals, inverts, and fish. I set it up to provide flow similar to the kreisel system (circular flow) developed for keeping Jellyfish. This flow system keeps the frozen food suspended in the water column longer where the seahorses prefer to feed. There are six Seahorses. Four tank raised and two wild caught. I was told that Ocean Rider got their wild ones to eat frozen food by housing them with good frozen food eaters. It took less than a week before both wild seahorses were eating frozen as well. Most of the corals in this tank love high nutrient waters like the Gorgonians, Gonioporas (Flower Pots), and the Elegance Coral. Other equipment: Protein Skimmer, 50W Stealth Pro Heater, Marina Digital Thermometer.

Question by Kings Child: What is an accurate kind/brand of thermometer for my saltwater tank?
Seems like all the ones I have read differently. Also, what’s a good salinity/hydrometer brand/kind?

            Answer by Jill
A hydrometer can be off by as much as .005, so I wouldn’t suggest getting one. Your bets bet is to get a refractometeer because they are a lot more accurate and easier to read. The place I usually get my aquarium supplies has them on sale for .99 (regularly .99) This one is portable, requires no batteries and automatically compensates for temperature. Heres the site:

Question by wounded_fayrie: Need information on antique thermometer please?
I just bought a Tycos copper thermometer (antique). It is about 8 inches long with an “S” shaped glass tube. At top it has the words “cold” left hand side and on the right hand side it has “Hot”. Have been not been able to find any information anywhere on the web. Does anyone have any information?
                Thank you,
                Beverly AKA Wounded Fayrie.

This may or may not help. I just went on eBay and found several listed. You might want to go there, do a search by typing in tycos thermometer, and in reading the item descriptions you can sometimes find out information that might pertain to the one you have…good luck with your search.

How does a basal thermometer help?

Question by ab: How does a basal thermometer help?
How would the basal thermometer help me get pregnant if it indicates that I have already ovulated?

                  Best answer:

                  Answer by Alexandra
It’s true, basal body temp can’t tell you before ovulation like an lh surge test, but it can be very useful.

-Once you chart for awhile you’ll be able to understand your bodies cycles more and be able to better predict when ovulation might occur (drops in temps from estrogen and lh surges)
-You can make sure you don’t have a luteal phase defect
-you can spot other issues (progesterone, pcos, annovulatory)
-It gives you a better indication when to test, which can save a lot of money
-It can also be a good pregnancy sign indicator, I always have clear triphasic charts during pregnancy.
-Many fertility doctors ask for 3-6 months of charted cycles

For the cost of a thermometer I think it’s worth it.
