Question by BOGART V: Is there any way to make rock candy without a candy thermometer?
or is there a formula so i can use a normal one

Best answer:

Answer by justbeingher
Use the hard crack method. When people do not have thermometers, they judge candy’s readiness by dropping a ball of the cooking mixture into a glass of cold water. The scale runs from soft ball to hard crack – soft ball is like it says, and a hard crack will look like a string or spike and will be brittle.

Question by SeekHealthEnterprises: At what temperature does liquid mercury (the kind in the thermometer) evaporate into the air?
Sorry, I took Physiology and Astronomy instead of Geology or Physical Science.
If it were, say 70 degrees, would it evaporate. If so, can you accidentally breathe it?
How MUCH lower than 674 degrees Farenheit? Could it evaporate at 70 degrees?

            Best answer:

            Answer by blaaang
It will boil at 674.11 degrees Fahrenheit, but it releases vapors at much lower temperatures (I think at room temperatures too). Oh, and the vapors are NOT delicious cake and WILL cause permanent damage, so don’t go breaking thermometers or otherwise messing around with it. It’s just not a pleasant element.

Worse yet are some compounds involving it, where a drop–even on a gloved hand–will kill you over the course of months.

                  Hidan Show 05

Took me awhile to get this one right. I actually had a WHOLE ALTERNATE Beginning to this one, but it took to long, and it was just about Tobi waking everybody up, and taking up Hidan’s screentime and him getting pissed about it. So I deleted that scene and replaced it with a shorter version. (I might add the scene as a separate video if fans care about it enough) It’s the morning after Hidan’s birthday, Tobi gets Zetsu, and Zetsu finally eats the bunny that escaped from him in Episode 1. Kakuzu made a prophet off of Sasori’s puppets and Hidan’s underwear on Ebay. (The fangirls who posses these items are rejoicing now). And….. Hidan’s sick. Because he was stupid and fell asleep outside with his body exposed. Hidan (Like my father) Is a whiny sicky. He whines about it. Oh! And if your wondering why Hidan’s so upset about his necklace, (when he wasn’t in the REAL anime) Is because he was worried that it was HIS fault it got lost. When he loses it when Asuma chops his head off, that was Asuma’s fault, so he is forgiven. If he lost it on HIS OWN, he’s worried Jashin-sama would kill him. This wasn’t my favorite episode to WORK on, but when I saw the finished product, Surprisingly, I was pleased. ‘_’ ALSO ONE LAST WORD: You know what’s ironic about this episode? When I was in the middle of working on this I really DID get sick! D8 I got a severe allergic reaction and had to get a heavy dosage of Benedril through my vains… I animated the Thermometer scene when I was under

I would think around 40 degrees Fahrenheit. You want it to be cold but not cold enough to freeze.
